This is our last week together in academics! I've so enjoyed working with your kiddos and watching them grow and succeed!
I've tried my best to guide them through the journey of maturity and stretch growth that is 5th grade, and I applaud their efforts toward that goal! Thank you all for the support you've offered during this transition. I realize it's most unfortunate that our time together was cut short by such a historical landmark of chaos, but I also know that we'll all be the better for it, as it allowed us to step up and be the best we could be!
All assignments and make-up work is due for submission by midnight on 5/29. Grades will be posted next week and submitted to the district for dispersal.
I will also be sending a schedule for students to come to school and pick up their awards/trophies and such.
Additionally, I'll be hosting a watch party for the film "The Giver" this coming Friday. A permission slip will be sent out via Blu Pods and will be offered for all students who have kept up their work load during the distance learning phase.
No one can fully know the strength that has come from working together during crisis. Trust in that, and support each other in all endeavors. The cherubs are off on another journey soon...to 6th grade. They'll just love it! And so will we as we watch them grow even more...Oh, the places they will go!!!!!!!
